Bica is a Romanian girl trying with her little brother to stay alive by thieving in the streets of a big city. One day Bica by chance befriends the daughter of a man she has robbed. Milka, beautiful and well-to-do, doesn’t immediately realize that picking pockets is how Bica manages to live and doesn’t understand the hardships she must endure. When she finds out she decides, along with some friends, to help Bica free herself from her cruel boss who de facto keeps her prisoner. |
