COM QUASE NADA

A large component of the peoples of Capo Verde islands (African archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean) is made up of children and teenagers who are the protagonists of this documentary.
Consumerism is not on hand for these young people because of the extreme poverty and insularity of the country. Therefore, they have to invent their “playing freedom”. With oil tins, some pieces of tyres and some other leftovers they are able to create rally cars; with remnants they can make dolls that can easily replace Barbie dolls. Television exists as well as who is dominated by it, but there is still someone who can tell and listen to stories. True stories, tales, fragments of daily life, voices, sounds, places, all far away that form the portrait of a society who is trying to survive culturally with almost nothing.
