Honeymoons takes place in present-day Albania, Serbia, Italy and Hungary. We follow the lives of two young couples who decide to leave their respective countries in search of a better life in western Europe. For the Albanian couple problems start on their arrival in a southern Italian port after undergoing every sort of mishap. The same fate awaits the Serbian couple, entering the European Union through Hungary. Due to a series of misfortunes, for the time being they cannot fulfill their dreams, as often happens to young Balkans, paying for the errors of previous generations. |
