Jaffa, not far from Tel-Aviv. In a garage owned by an Israeli work an Arab mechanic and his son Toufik, secretly in love with the boss’ daughter, Mali. Relations between Jewish business people and Arab employees are apparently good, but Mali and Toufik have been hiding their love affair from their families for quite some time, afraid of their reactions. When the girl gets pregnant the pair decides to elope but the plan goes up in smoke after a series of tragic events that will leave nothing as it was before. |
