Inspired by a semi-biographical book by Ulf Stark, a well-known author in Sweden, the film recounts shy Ulf's summer vacations with his parents and grandparents on a Swedish island. Percy, an appealing extrovert of the same age, invites himself along and Ulf is too polite to say no. Percy gets the attention of Ulf's whole family, especially his grumpy grandfather, who tells him about his encounter with the great cowboy, Buffalo Bill. But there's worse: Pia is a girl that Ulf really likes, but she is irresistibly attracted to Percy. Yet even Percy has a weak point: he can't swim. |
