RABBIT PROOF FENCE

This film is based on the real-life story of three Aboriginal girls, victims of the official policy of the Australian government forbidding relations between natives and white people. The girls are taken from their family and sent to an institution where they can be adequately “schooled’ and kept an eye on. But they decide to run away and manage to do it. Escape won’t be easy, though, because their destination is far away and their pursuers don’t give up the chase.
