Alex, aged 15, has a secret that his parents consider impossible to confess, and so they all leave Buenos Aires for Uruguay, fat from the curiosity of acquaintances. One day a plastic surgeon who’s a friend of the family arrives, accompanied by his wife and sixteen year old son. He has to operate on Alex who, due to a chromosomal anomaly, was born a hermaphrodite and risks winding up psychologically wounded by the morbid curiosity of those around him. |
