Young Kai spends half his nights in a bookstore in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, without ever buying anything. He just leafs through books in French to learn the language since his girlfriend has moved to Paris. “Without you, Taipei is very sad.” Without her, Kai is sad. One day a friendly old gangster offers him a ticket to Paris in exchange for a little favor. Goodbye sadness and the start of a comedy full of freshness, imagination and daring performed by Kai, the young woman bookseller, a band of thieves in orange costumes and a policeman with a rather stormy love life. Kai will discover love and understand that happiness is often closer than one thinks.
