Marcello, aged 10, has an emigrant Italian father that hopes he will become a soccer champion. His mother, a Swede enamoured of Italy and a practicing Catholic, wants him to be a priest. Marcello sings off key in the church choir and never scores a goal. He has one passion: flying. But… he suffers from vertigo. He is almost inevitably introverted and finds comfort in talking to a Jesus happy to listen to him. Until the arrival in class of Fatima, a self-assured Palestinian his own age.
