It’s nighttime and in the city everyone sleeps except Sophie. Her curiosity aroused by mysterious noises, she goes to the window and sees the silhouette of a giant wrapped in a black cloak. Terrified, she huddles under the bedcovers but an enormous hand picks her up and carries her to the land of the giants. Sophie expects the worst but soon discovers that she’s in the hands of the Big Friendly Giant, a “dream-blower” who every night comes to earth to blow marvelous dreams into the rooms of sleeping children…. |
