How does the distribution strategy change when a distributor distributes an animated film for children compared to a feature film or a documentary? What ‘promotional’ material does the distributor create ‘ad hoc’ for a children's audience? What is the perfect distribution marketing for this type of film and how do ‘school screenings’ and public previews in the presence of the directors work? To answer these questions, we propose a conference on the distribution of animated films for children. The three guests who will discuss this topic are:
- Renate Zylla: festival-agent and former director of the Berlinale's Kinder Film Fest, will talk about the case-study JOURNEY TO YOUR LAND
- Evelina Poggi: producer and distributor of Lynx (Milan), will talk about the case-study LA BICLETTA DI BARTALI
- Judith Repod: distributor of Agora Film (Geneva), will talk about the case-study CALAMITY and other animated films distributed by it.
The conference is moderated by Alessandro Marcionni, head of co-productions Pacte de l'Audiovisuel RSI (Head of Fiction & Doc).
