Inspired by the trends that have been emerging in recent years and that the pandemics has accelerated, Castellinaria Festival del cinema giovane, launches CastellinEurope, a European conference dedicated to film literacy.


Together with the most important youth film festivals in Europe, best practices of film literacy will be reflected upon. The conference will be moderated by Silvia Pareti, General Secretary of Cineteca Milano and Simone Moraldi, Project Manager Cineteca Milano.


At Castellinaria will meet Daniel Lundquist (BUFF Malmö, Sweden), Jaroslava Hynštová (Zlin Film Festival, Czech Republic), Jerzy Moszkowicz (Alekino!, Poland), Rianne Vogel (Cinekid, Netherlands) and Arba Hatashi (Anibar, Kosovo) to discuss important issues such as:

- the difference between cinema at school and school at cinema
- what is the role and the responsibility of a festival in teaching cinema
- how to teach the teachers and what is the role of the teacher in film literacy 
- positive and negative outcome of pandemics and increase of streaming platforms 


  • The conference will take place on WEDNESDAY, NOV. 17th, from 13:30 to 17:00 in Bellinzona at the Scuola Cantonale di Commercio.
