Z is a worker ant who, on the psychiatrist’s couch, reveals his terrible sense of alienation and has the courage to rebel against the idea of everybody being equal and unthinking. He falls in love with the ant princess and kidnaps her, taking her with him to the outside world. He then returns, and with his intelligence, capable of generosity, he overturns the military dictator who wants to eliminate the workers, and saves the ant colony.
