With Sergio Castellitto
1350. After Dante's death, Boccaccio is given the task of delivering ten gold florins to the supreme bard's daughter as "belated compensation for the injustice suffered". Giovanni, a great admirer of the deceased poet, accepts the task as an honour, setting out to visit the places that Dante passed through during his exile. Along the way, he will retrace the salient episodes of the poet's life, from his meeting with Beatrice to his friendship with Guido Cavalcanti, from the wars between Whites and Blacks to his entry into politics as prior to his “infinite exile”.
