Diego Benzoni, Samuela Lepori and Anna Simonetti have been awarded the 2026 Casa Pantrovà residencies

The selection panel for the competition to award the three residencies dedicated to writing for the audiovisual sector has met and chosen the projects that will be hosted in Carona this year.

The City of Lugano – in collaboration with La Casa della Letteratura for Italian-speaking Switzerland, the Italian-speaking Switzerland Directing and Screenwriting Group, the Ticino Film Commission, the Castellinaria Young Filmmakers’ Festival, the Locarno Film Festival and the Canton of Ticino’s Office for Cultural Support – has once again this year awarded three screenwriting residencies at Casa Pantrovà.

The proposals that won over the jury were those by Diego Benzoni, Samuela Lepori and Anna Simonetti.

As in previous years, the assessment of the eight participating projects was entrusted to an exceptional jury. Comprising eight members, it represents the leading cultural institutions active in this field: Erik Bernasconi (Directing and Screenwriting Group of Italian-speaking Switzerland), Laura Brenni (Culture Division, City of Lugano), Jacopo Greppi (Castellinaria Young Filmmakers’ Festival), Maura Käppeli (DECS – Office for Cultural Support of the Canton of Ticino), Daniela Persico (Locarno Film Festival), Milena Stokar (Ticino Film Commission) and Mara Travella (House of Literature for Italian-speaking Switzerland).
