A man, a woman and three children are sitting on a bench at a Swiss train station at night: they are exhausted, but they made it. The man, Sehmuz and his wife Delâi come from Kurdistan with their children, hoping to be granted the status of refugees in Basel. They are, in fact, hosted in a camp. But they have to stand an interview with the authorities to settle their situation. Aziz, a fellow countryman, introduces him to a “seller” of “stories” and “authentic” documents. Sehmuz finds it hard to memorise his “story”, even if his children make him repeat it all day long.
