From different backgrounds, ten young filmmakers sketch eclectic and fascinating portraits of communities, from the most remote to the most symptomatic of a changing world. As they look to the future, their characters speak to us of coexistence, borders, otherness, commitment and the variety of possible futures. Whether they are young recruits, former students or pupils of film schools, or the spearheads of a new generation of filmmakers, they are all driven by a deep desire to listen to the voices of today to accompany their visions of contemporary society.
