7 year-old Sang-woo grew up in a big city. Due to economic problems his mother sends him to stay with his grandmother, a mute woman who ha spent all her life in a small village. Here the boy finds himself facing a new way of life. In the country house there is no television and the bathroom is in the yard. His grandmother’s food is different from that of the fast-food restaurants in the city and there is only water to drink. When the batteries of his video-game run down, he cannot find new ones. And communicating with the old woman is not easy. However, as the days go by, the boy discovers just how generous his grandmother is. At the market she buys his favorites things and allows him to go back to the village by bus while she walks. But the day to return to the city comes...
