JURIJ

2001

Jurij is a poor-sighted boy who, after his mother’s death, is subjected by his father to a sort of imprisonment aimed at making his sensitivity to music more acute. In fact, Jurij is a fine violinist whom his father believes destined for virtuoso heights. Jurij is thus made the focus of a media event that he withdraws from, refusing to perform. This angers his father, who leaves him to his fate. The boy seems unwilling to communicate with anyone anymore. And then along comes a therapist who tries to find the right way to help him.
