This documentary is the second in a triptych devoted to water, proposed in an original and high-impact theatrical format with two voice-overs commenting the images and a stunning soundtrack. The screenwriter retraces human history, its social and economic progress, through the flow of water through it. Water is therefore viewed not only as the biological premise fundamental to life but also as a guideline in analyzing the complex relationship between the human being and nature. A compromised but recoupable relationship as it appears in the film, which offers an optimistic vision of the future and strives to augment viewers’ awareness of new environmental policies through an innovative formula.
