Simon is a distinguished violinist who joins up as a music instructor at an inner-city Paris school to make some money between his tours. He gets off to a rocky start and his strict teaching style doesn’t help him connect with the more difficult students. As time passes, however, the kids seem to become more interested and Arnold joins the group, a student originally from Central-Africa, who has never met his father and who has a real talent for violin. Together, they will overcome many obstacles and succeed to enroll the class in an end-of-the-year concert at the prestigious Paris Philharmonic.
