Samay is a nine-year-old boy who lives in a remote village in India. Thanks to Fazal, the projectionist of a movie theatre, he manages to spend the summer watching several films. Fazal lets him in secretly and for free, but in return he asks him for the food that the child's mother carefully cooks for him. Thus Samay's passion for cinema is born, although his father does not approve of it. But this world too is about to change: the arrival of digital projection will be a revolution in every way.
