On the eastern Mediterranean coast, the poetical-musical tradition of the Zajal is deep-rooted. This song, often polemic and peculiar, sometimes patriotic and serious, bends our mind to love. The poet Zaghlul and his group have decided to be named “The doves”. With their Zajal, they lead us throughout a mosaic of clashing atmospheres and images that form this land of Levant.
