A big public birthday party is taking place in a town inhabited by light bulbs. It is an initiation rite for the little flames: a glass bulb is placed on them so they can shine forever. But each time a flame becomes an adult, a candle on the cake goes out. Flame's mother tries to convince her to give the bulbs a chance, showing her that, even as an adult, she can continue to light up the candles when no one is watching. |
