Lubo Moser is a nomad of the Yenish people. In 1939 Switzerland, he travels from place to place performing in squares with his wife Mirana and their children. While on military service for the mobilization of men for the defense of the borders, he learns that his children have been picked up and taken to an institution (this is a project aimed at extinguishing the presence of his ethnic group). His wife is dead. From that moment on, the meaning of life for him consists in achieving a twofold goal: to find his children and to take revenge, while on his way he reaches Bellinzona.
