Ahmad arrives in Paris from Tehran. Marie, the wife he left four years ago, requires his presence to formalize divorce proceedings. Marie has two daughters born of other relationships and troubled relations with the eldest, Lucie. Ahmad is invited to stay with them instead of at a hotel and thus discovers that Marie is having an affair with Samir, whose wife is in a coma.
