Since Greta Thunberg initially started her solitary protest in defence of the environment in the future, youth movements have sprung up all over the world to demonstrate to defend their future and to unmask the hypocrisy of (too) many governments, that in front of climate change either deny it or consider it a problem against which organizing conferences and symposiums in order to – quoting Tomasi di Lampedusa’s “The Leopard” – “change everything so that nothing changes”. Jim Rakete offers a summary of the various movements by highlighting the young activists who have personally committed themselves to carry out the ideas presented by Greta.
