Leaving prison Jong-du gets into job in a factory deposit. He tries to fit into society, but his mental retardation makes him get into troubles. On a deliver to the home of someone he killed while drink-driving, he meets the daughter Gong-ju, who has cerebral palsy. After a brief courtship, he tries to rape her and then runs away. However, the girl appreciates the attention he gives her, calls him and embarks on a decidedly unusual relationship, strongly disapproved by both families. Condemned for rape, Jomg-du goes back to Gong-ju’s house.
