Daniel is the only child of a couple working in a motel in northern Ontario. The days are spent cleaning the rooms and swimming in the pool. After seeing two parents fight he decides to team up with their daughter Vera who has decided to run away in protest. The pair begins to wander around in the snow-covered area and gradually feels the birth of mutual feelings built up through mutual knowledge created through dialogue and little adventures.
