PA-RA-DA

2008

Romania, 1992. Three years after the fall of Ceausescu, Miloud Oukli, a French street clown of Algerian origin, reaches Bucharest. Here he comes face to face with a terrible reality: hundreds of children, aged three to sixteen, live in the sewers and survive through theft, begging and prostitution. These are children who escaped from squalid orphanages or equally horrible family situations. Miloud has a dream: to overcome their indifference to everything (also caused by the glue or paint they inhale like a drug). After long and laborious effort, he manages to win their trust and transforms them into the street artists now known throughout the world.
