When Nusret leaves her home in the mountains near the Black Sea she certainly doesn’t imagine what effect this will have on her children. In fact, her family is the least of the worries of this elderly lady, suffering from Alzheimer’s. And her children, despite their apparent social successes, don’t live well. Their mother’s disappearance brings their unhappiness to the surface, obliging the two daughters, Nesrin and Güzin, to look at the great emptiness of their emotional lives while brother Mehmet can no longer hide the failure of his artistic ambitions. Only Murat, Nesrin’s rebellious teenage son, will be able to establish a rapport with this grandmother he had never met before.
