Ramona is nine and has an extraordinary imagination that often gets her ridiculed by schoolmates and neighbors. Her family loves her very much but often the fixes she gets into make her parents lose their patience and embarrass her older sister, Beezus (her pesky little sister’s version of her real name, Beatrice). Things get complicated when their father loses his job and, to save their house from foreclosure, Ramona rashly decides to solve the problem herself.
