Cathy receives an egg to hatch for her tenth birthday. When a duckling hatches from the egg while her best friend Margaux is there, the little bird convinces itself that the little girl is its mother. But Margaux is in no condition to take care of a duckling, because she is confined to a wheelchair and will soon have to go and live in an institute. Her parents decide to get rid of the bird. When Cathy and Margaux discover that it will end up as food, the two friends begin an adventure in which, while trying to save the little creature, they discover much more about themselves than they knew before. |
