At a food supermarket in Sweden, employees are asked to speed up their work schedules and make themselves available for short shifts on call with almost immediate arrival. The head of personnel Eleni is called to coordinate this restructuring, although she would be entitled to maternity leave as she has a young daughter. If she did not accept she would be demoted to mere clerk. Added to this is a community of homeless people who are forbidden to go near the container in which expired food is thrown but which would still be usable.
