The little island of Brissago, also known as the Rabbit Island, has been the scene of an unusual educational experience for the past three years: every week, in turns, a number of classes from Sopraceneri special school work on renovation of an old guardian's house to make it into a hostel for classes and groups.
The documentary is a close-up record of the experience of a number of pupils for whom the island not only offers an opportunity to experience some of the basic things they have learned in school for themselves, but gives them an exceptional opportunity to socialise.
