Villa Henriette is a magic house to the twelve-year-old Marie and her grandmother. Her mother doesn't see it the same way, and doesn't appreciate the eccentricities of her mother-in-law, a husband who seems to be interested solely in ancient Egypt, the poetess Aunt Olli and Alfred, the grandmother's brother, who is entirely absorbed by his flowers. The grand-mother is an inventor too, and she decides to invest all her savings in making an electric scooter. As a result, the bank puts the house up for sale. It is up to Marie to save Villa Henriette.
